It's alright. Its a 5K indoor venue; of course Olympia or another smaller venue would be better but since there is no "small" (or even human sized) indoor dates anymore below 10k for those kinda bands, its good !
The sound is ok, at least it was last time i went, that was in 2015. There's seats or standing, so something for everybody.
My conclusion is:
Pulp at Zenith in 2012 for 45 euros = no f way, thank god they chose Olympia
Pulp at Zenith in 2026 with "affordable ticket prices" and seats if i'm tired = yes please ! Cant be too picky anymore when it comes to live music. Unfortunately.

The link came through, I hastily purchased two 'gold circle seating' assuming these to actually mean standing in haste. Turns out they are more expensive and further away from the stage

Last time i went you could still go standing if you had seating tickets. Maybe that changed though.

The seat pricing is often strange. I paid quite a bit for seats at Royal Albert Hall ages ago, and those fancy seats were at the farthest possible point from the stage.

Getting the tickets for Paris was surprisingly easy. I guess Pulp are not too popular there?
Took me a while to figure out that the standing tickets were called "debout" since the website switched to French, and I didn't find how to switch back to English, but the rest was really straightforward.

What do you mean by seats if you are tired? I got parterre, hope to get there early enough to get a good spot, maybe a very end of the rail.
I've never been to concerts in France before, wonder what the crowds there are like!

I dont know now, but before, at Zenith, when you has seat tickets you could still go to the standing area, and the prices weren't that different so you could do seat and still no use them. Maybe this has changed. Ive not been there since 2015 for Noel Gallagher.
The crowd is very polite in France, especially for Pulp. Don't expect a wild night, except onstage of course.
Pulp is loved in France, but i doubt the queue will be wild for this show. the presale will probably sell most of the tickets.

I have never been outside the UK for a full 24 hours. Like Russell Senior, I'm scared of flying and because of that it's something I've never really done.
We had one school trip to the Somme battlefield in 2015 to mark the centenary (and, on that very same day, the terrible Bataclan shooting happened and our school bus was the last vehicle through the border before France went into lockdown). So I don't have an incredible track record, and I've not wanted to 'jinx' things ever since... I know it sounds silly but it's the kind of thing Jarvis would say isn't it?
Anyway. Post-uni gap year, eleven years has passed, Pulp might not be around forever. I've gone and bagged a ticket. See you at Le Zénith! :D

You'll be fine ! the crowd at the zenith will be huge so its kinda safe. Be alert at Gare du Nord though if travelling by eurostar, some weird people there, but mostly in other areas than the Eurostar terminal. No need to worry either since you'll be in the flow of the train people, just don't let anything valuable in your outside pocket. Paris is fine if you dont look like an easy target, just like any big city.

I too think you'll be fine! Just say "bonjour" everywhere and get the Bonjour RAPT for the public transportation in Paris, that's it. I've heard all kinds of things about Gare du Nord, only to feel perfectly safe leaving the Eurostar terminal a couple of years ago.
