Title: Pulp Pop-Up Pub
Post by: liltman on Aug 25, 2026, 05:14 PM
What are people's thoughts on this? Sounds exciting.

Going to head there on the Sat afternoon with my eldest - hoping there might be a gig from them potentially, but I'm thinking it's more likely it'll end up being a DJ set late that night?

It was queuing round the block and queue didn't seem to be moving, so couldn't be arsed. Shame, may pop in tomorrow on way home - if anyone goes, let us know if it's worth the trip!

There's a video on Instagram doing a quick tour of the pop-up and it looked pretty mint, old Intro/,His'n'Hers posters on the wall, assorted memorabilia etc.

Based on the interest in Manchester and the long queues in the rain to get in, hopefully they consider taking the pop-up idea on the road when the film comes out next month.

After saying I wouldn't queue, I did (in pouring rain).

Not sure could 100% justify the hour-plus queue and we got there about 1215 so not long after it opened.

Still, was great to enjoy for a while, loads of posters up and goodies to buy.

Fyi - the upstairs bar wasn't handing out the Pulp cups (so ended up buying a second drink - though staff member gave husband a cup for free as he didn't want another).

Lovely atmosphere inside. Def worth a look if you have the time.

Were any of Jarv/Nick/Mark's books on sale?

Yes they were - Mark's and Good Pop Bad Pop. Some 2023 t-shirts for a tenner. Didn't see anything signed on sale but maybe didn't look hard enough

Well I popped in this morning after making the journey back to Manny, and was a little dissapointed by the shop. Only a small handful allowed in at one go, and the bar downstairs was tiny. It was a great idea, but felt a bit rushed today.
