Another pop up but this time in Sheffield.

Good to take it back to the source.

Similar to what they did for Wythenshawe, I assume.

What was the one in Wythenshawe like?

Barcroft

Manchester was old Pulp posters and photos everywhere, leading to a merch store which included signed vinyls etc.

They'd also got Pulp window vinyls, bar matt's, beers mats, plus the usual cardboard cutouts etc.

By night there was Pulp karaoke 🎤.

HoltbyCity

I was in the Hallamshire Hotel the other night watching a band called T Is For Thomas Band.  Pulp connections to TIFTB - 1) Singer Tom Hogg played in Seafruit with Alan Smyth, producer of Separations. 2) Bassist Charley McKee plays in the Everly Pregnant Brothers with Nick Banks

Anyway, does anyone know how different it is since it reopened last year, compared to its original 1980s heyday?  Has it been reconfigured, or is the stage etc. roughly in the same place?

Honestly, I haven't been upstairs since the mid 90's so I don't imnediately know. The pub as it is now is pretty gentrified compared to the rather dirty boozer I knew in the 90's. Anyway, here's an interesting article from the Sheffield Tribune with some nice pics.
