It was easier in 1990s. Get a letter from Pulp People, write a cheque for £38 with SAE. A week later, four great stalls tickets at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Bloody internet.

Thanks Eamonn, I really appreciate it. I'm 3833 in the queue right now. But it's better than literally no chance at all.

I guess the much advertised "Mailchimp" thing they use is just a useless piece of arse. It's like that "Shopify" thing that is constantly advertised to me, sometimes multiple times a day, for years now. Whenever I come across an online store that uses it, I usually just don't bother. It's a complete glitchy mess that barely manages to comprehend the idea of someone not living in the US, and forces you to enter your email address and go through multiple steps in order even to see EU shipping rates. Then harasses you via email for "abandoning" your cart afterwards.

And yes, that's a dig at pulpofficial.co.uk using it.

Well done. If you want a better seat keep checking the Southbank web site.  We went to first night for suede and were in balcony, but whilst i was at the show I checked tickets for following night and there were two good ones together in the stalls, so I went again.  Very easy to return tickets and they give you a full credit (though they keep booking fee).

Most I have ever paid for a gig.  Only times I paid more for an individual ticket was Wimbledons Mens final (£175), Ireland v Scotland in Rugby World Cup (216 Euro) and Ireland v England at Twickenham (£149) a couple of months ago.  All one offs.  I think highest price for a gig is The Who at The O2 (£90) and only paid that because I got a production seat in the front block a day before the gig was scheduled (it was postponed as Roger Daltrey was ill).  I can somewhat rationalise it in that I have no travel nor accommodation, so the only extra cost is a meal and a few drinks. Some excessive discretionary spending has to be done.

The general sale was a lot quicker to get through, if you gave up those morning, try now!

I don't think the front stalls are worth £55 more - the sound is really good at the RFH from all sections and at least you'll get a full view of the stage from up there.

 The front stalls are probably worth a bit more as you can run down the front .  That's what happened at suede.  I was happy enough where I was in the 10th row, especially as the youngsters sat next to me rushed off and gave me somewhere to put my jacket.

Has anyone tried selling or buying Southbank Centre tickets on Twickets? Did it work? I just found this on the Southbank Centre website and it´s a bit concerning...

The Southbank Centre takes a strong view on secondary ticketing. We may require the lead booker to attend (photo ID may be requested). Tickets can only be sold by the Southbank Centre, or one of our agent partners.
